Description
Picasso invented Cubism. Juan Gris perfected it. Where Picasso’s work could feel like an argument, Gris brought order — geometry that doesn’t fight the eye but rewards it. This guitar has been taken apart and rebuilt as pure form, and somehow it feels more like a guitar than a photograph would. That’s the trick only a handful of painters have ever pulled off. On BAC’s large format canvas this is the work that tells a room it has taste.
