Description
This painting draws from the timeless relationship of Radha and Krishna, not as literal depiction but as an enduring emotional ideal. The figures embody closeness, reciprocity, and spiritual intimacy—where identities merge through presence rather than action.
Flowing forms and interwoven lines reinforce a sense of unity and mutual dependence. Relationships remain central to the artist’s practice, approached here with clarity and assurance. A resolved work that engages a classical theme through a contemporary lens, well-suited for discerning collectors.
Sharmishta Banerjee was born and raised in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. She holds a National Diploma in Fine Arts from MPBTE, Bhopal, and a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur (2002), graduating as University Topper.
With strong academic grounding and decades of studio practice, Banerjee has reached a decisive stage in her career. This is the right moment for collectors to acquire her work—before broader recognition and price escalation follow.
